IAN SHAW
Ian Shaw has know Fran for almot 20 years. He recorded “Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most” for his 1995 album “Ghost Songs” and has included a Landesman/Wallace song on three of his recent CDs. inluding the title track to his collabotation with the great jazz pianist Cedar Walton “In A New York Minute”. “Soho Stories” (Milestone) contains a great version of “Tomorrow Never Came” while the CD “Famous Rainy Day” (a title taken from the Landesman lyric “Song For A Songwriter”) contained the first recording of “Living In Overdrive”.

JOHN SIMON
A friend and collaborator since the late 1960s. John Simon was introduced to Fran when she was signed to the New York Publishers TRO The (Howie) Richmond Organisation. John Simon is best known as a record producer, most notably of the majority of albums by the 'The Band' He also produced the Janis Joplin album and wrote the classic hit song "my name's Jack ....and I live at the back....of the Greta Garbo home for wayward boys and girls". In the '60s and '70s he wrote a number of fine songs with Fran Landesman, some of which resurfaced in the 1992 London production 'Invade My Privacy' and the 1994 New York production 'The Decline of the Middle West'. John Simon lives in New York where he writes and records songs which he releases under his own name. He tours regularly in Japan.

 

GEORGIE FAME
Wrote several songs with Fran in the 70's one of which 'Eros Hotel' is still a regular part of his regular live set and features on his latest video.

 

 

 

DUDLEY MOORE
Fran
and Jay were introduced to Dudley Moore by Peter Cook shortly after they moved to London in 1964 . Dudley Moore did a beautiful setting of Fran's lyric 'Before Love Went Out Of Style' which has been recorded by a number of singers including Cleo Laine.

 

 

STEVE ALLEN
Renowned American broadcaster/songwriter/performer Steve Allen wrote many songs with Fran Landesman during the '60s and '70s 'A Man Who Used To Be' was recorded Steve Laurance . Chet Baker recorded a number of their songs inthe early '60s including 'Albert's House' 'Its Nice That We're Still Here' has featured in a number of shows including 'Invade My Privacy' and 'The Decline Of The Middle West'.

 

JASON MCAULIFFE
Fran and New Yorker Jason McAuliffe worked together on many songs and shows during the '70s and '80s. Many of their songs were included in the 1993 London show 'Invade My Privacy' and in the 1995 Off Broadway production 'The Decline of the Middle West' . In 1994 Fran and Jason completed a musical version of 'The Great Gatsby' which that year was given a concert workshop performance in New York .
